About this app

Great for surfing, diving, sailing, swimming or deciding if it's a good time to hit the beach. Check what time the next high/low tide is. Use the home screen widget to keep an eye on the water.

Live scientific readings from ocean buoys around the world. Data is provided by the National Data Buoy Center of NOAA and other public scientific organizations. Most buoys report water temperature and swell height, but some have more information available than others. Automatically select the closest buoy, choose one from the map, or choose from the list. Build a list of favorites for quick access to key buoys. With your device's location function turned on, bearing and distance to the buoy is calculated and displayed. This app is lightweight, easy-to-use, and requires virtually no data usage.

They Kept it Simple! Soo tired of apps that start out great, then they feel the need to add a bunch of BS that no one wants. I click it, I get buoy information on seas conditions. While traveling recently, I used the map feature to get sea conditions info near me. Again, a simple process that actually works! love this app.

I use this for deciding if I want to swim or not. My favorite feature is the temperature history graphs, and I have some suggestions to make them more useful: 1. Make the graphs 'traceable', meaning that I can tap on a data point on the graph and see the time and temp at that point 2. Let the graphs turn to landscape mode to spread out, instead of just being portrait mode 3. have the option to mark high/low tide points on the temp graph. The temperatures go up and down so much each day, and I'm interested to find out if they follow times or tides more. I also wish the buoy data was refreshed more often, but that may be due to the buoys, not this app.

Ads don't seem to interfere with the use of the app. unlike many others which causes me to uninstall them as soon as I get them
