My old school 1996 Magnavox 19" TV is dieing and I don't have the original remote. I tried to set it up with my RCA universal remote but couldn't access the Menu to see if I could change the settings. This remote controlled my TV instantly and found the part of the menu (not all of it) I couldn't access. Unfortunately I think my TV is toast but this remote works with it. From what I am reading it's hit or miss with this app. Used an old rooted Galaxy S5 too.

Had to try every brand randomly before finding my soundbar which is supposed to be the same brand as the app but it works. Also they as every 2 seconds to rate them without a possibility to "never ask again" or just close the pop up and a "remind me later" means in 5 seconds.

Works perfectly! Unlike other apps that require you to have the original remotes to program functions, I was able to control my tv & dvd player right from the start. Super convenient & free!
