About this app

When a family member or a friend has diabetes, you want to be supportive and stay close. You might want to know if their glucose levels go too high or too low, be able to quickly and easily access their insulin pump and Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) system information.

With the CareLink™ Connect app, now you can remotely see their glucose levels and insulin pump information wherever you are, so you can know how they are doing.

The CareLink™ Connect app helps you quickly accomplish these tasks:
Let you securely view glucose levels, graphs, and trends
Sends you high or low glucose levels notifications, so you can be informed and supportive
Shows you the status of the insulin pump system, for greater peace of mind

To remotely view pump system information, family members or friends need to install the CareLink™ Connect app on their compatible mobile device. Also, the person with diabetes needs a MiniMed™ 700-series insulin pump, the MiniMed™ Mobile app installed on a compatible mobile device, which then should be connected online to the CareLink™ software. To find a list of compatible devices, please visit medtronicdiabetes.com/app-check.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to receive real-time updates, the app needs to continuously receive data from the CareLink™ servers, and the insulin pump system needs to sync with the CareLink™ servers through the MiniMed™ Mobile app. The CareLink™ Connect app only works with the MiniMed™ 700-series insulin pump systems; it currently does not support other standalone CGM systems, MiniMed™ or Paradigm™ insulin pumps.

The CareLink™ Connect app is intended to provide a secondary display of insulin pump and CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitoring) system data on a supported mobile device. CareLink™ Connect app is not intended to replace the real-time display of insulin pump or CGM data on the primary display device. All therapy decisions should be based on the primary display device.

CareLink™ Connect app is not intended to analyze or modify the insulin pump and CGM data that it receives. Nor is it intended to control any function of the insulin pump or CGM system to which it is connected. CareLink™ Connect app is not intended to receive information directly from the insulin pump or CGM system.

Enjoying until latest Android update. Updated my phone to the latest Android v14, and now, when trying to open CareLink Connect to check on my T1D, the app tells me it's not compatible with Android v14. Although the Play Store is showing that it is compatible with my phone and version. CareLink needs to do BETTER at keeping the software compatible with phone updates. I'm not sure they understand the importance of their app to the users. It's life changing and needs to ALWAYS work.

I really like this app. It works very well. It hasn't crashed or lost a signal. I live in a forest, so that says a lot. I like that there is no delay in the notification from my husband's device to mine. I would have given 5 stars, but it lacks the ability to go back and look at glucose history. For that, I do miss his dexcom. Maybe there's a coordinating app that goes with it that I'm not yet aware of. Overall, it works great, and I would recommend it.

My husband and I have a Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G, and only reason I switched to the 770G from the 670G was for the ability for both me and my husband to monitor using the app. I work Graveyard and my husband was looking forward to being able to see how I'm doing. I was not able to get the app to work. It just kept circling round and round, and wouldn't work. How very disappointing! I read some of the other reviews. I have T-Mobile and I just completed the update yesterday, so we'll see...
