Patients with Medtronic heart devices that have Bluetooth® wireless telemetry can download this app for free and use it for remote monitoring. The app can be used to automatically send heart device information to your clinic – wherever you go. Cellular and Wi-Fi availability applies. To get started, contact your doctor to confirm your enrollment in the Medtronic CareLink™ network.

It's unfortunate that this app targets specific phone models instead of an Android OS version. I imagine it is to limit support to a few Android phones. Luckily I had an iPad that works in place of the phone. It makes reporting symptoms difficult as I don't carry my iPad around with me. There is an optional accessory I can use to report symptoms but I still need to carry that around.

Useless app. When initially registering, it does not even connect to the monitor in spite of being next to it. When it fails, it stupidly makes you enter all your details all over again. Developers were dumb enough to be employed by the company. The monitor installed in a minute but after the initial reading of data manually, it does not say if it will be done remotely after that. But so far, my Samsung Tab A has failed to connect with the monitor.

A month out. Haven't been back to MD, yet. I assume it's providing necessary info. Great concept, but drastic battery drain. I've configured my Samsung to optimize and restrict background battery use. The intent is to confine transmission to when it is charging. Will see if that improves. Otherwise, I must charge my phone 2 to 3 times per day or consider the bedside "box", which I do not want.
