About this game

If you play more than one of my Ancient Games, I suggest you delete the individual apps and install the main one (Ancient Games). It will allow you to play them all and save disk storage.

The past is full of fascinating board games that haves been mostly forgotten. The Ancient Games collection aims to resurrect them as a meticulously crafted mix between what a player wants from an historical game and what he/she expects of a modern application.

-Play against the IA, friends and random players from around the world.
-Play Online & Offline.
-Multiple collectibles : boards, game pieces, dice, nameplates, etc.
-Challenges (Fun rule variants)
-Free cloudsave across the collection : your progress in one game is available in all the others.
-Much more features to come!
-Languages : English, French, Portuguese, Italian, Arabic, Spanish, German, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Russian.

Currently, the collection is comprised of four games : the Royal Game of Ur, Senet, XII Scripta and Puluc, but 40 games are in the works!
Each game will be added to the Ancient Games app and will have its own individual app as well.

The UI, game design, and overall feel are incredible. I also love that you can change the rules as needed. However, there is definitely something off with the AI - the difficulty levels don't feel any different (easy mode plays the same as hard mode), and the number of times the AI gets rolls to go their way, even when it is outright improbable for it to do so... is too high. It's happened too many times to too many people to be anything but a statistical anomaly.

Animation and music are great. Ads are only inbetween games. But the moment you are down to about 2 or 3 pieces left on the board the computer goes overdrive and rolls perfects all in a row wiping you out. Out of the blue. But the first half of the game feels balanced. Tried with all the dice sets. I want to keep this but the OP computer is super frustrating.

Hi, might be a bug because this is absolutely not the intended behavior. Could you try in the Ancient Games app and let me know if it happend there too? Also it has a lot more content and game modes, saves your progress and has several games of this type. You can download it by clicking on the red icon on the right of the main menu. Have fun.

Finally got around to this one! Of all the ancient games so far, this is the hardest to master, in my opinion. It's slower than the other two, and requires different tactics, which might make it harder for players used to Ur. The strategy is subtle, and I like the blocking mechanics. Difficulty is fair. I really hope that you develop 20 Squares next. It's like Ur but with a different layout and more complicated rules for getting the pieces on. It can involve betting as well.

I find it the easiest actually (but probably because it was my entry point into ancient gaming). 20 Squares is coming. It is not the next title but not far down the list. I have been improving my workflow and systems so new games should be released faster from now on! You can check the roadmap for the collection on the Ancient Games Facebook page.
