About this app

Screen Time for Kids works in conjunction with the Screen Time Parental Control App on your child's device.

This app uses Accessibility services.

Screen Time requires accessibility permissions to monitor and limit daily screen time usage. Specifically, Accessibility services are required for:

• App blocking both on-demand and schedule based blocking on kid’s devices.
• Web monitoring to capture web history on kid’s devices.
• Web filtering to keep kids safe while browsing online.

This is important to support all children, including those with pre-diagnosed disabilities, from creating or aggravating social, learning and other behavioral disorders.

This app is not ideal for a parental control app. Whenever I requested more time and it got accepted, it never actually gave me the time. It glitches out my phone and makes it slower. It drains my battery quicker than when I'm actually using it. It stresses me out when it locks 90% of my apps while I'm doing something. I think it would be nice to give a warning before locking everything. It has messed up my notifications as well. It either sends notifications VERY late or doesn't send them.

If it wasn't for the glitches that destroyed this app, it would be 4 stars. The app worked well (as it was supposed to) when we first downloaded it. I learned to live with the app despite some of its short comings. But then, the glitches came, our parents could no longer gives us extra time and I even got them to un-block the game I was trying to play but it still kept getting blocked. I've put up with this for about 2 and a 1/2 years, im sick and tired of this buggy mess, please fix it.

Normally I would have this at five stars, but it's been acting up for me lately. The "you have just reached your daily limit including time spent on 'app'" will pop up when I'm near the end of the limit, but I'll be on an app that is not on the limit. Another problem is that it will take a little time to have apps approved when they already have been. We have stopped using the feature that blocks certain apps at certain times of the day as it will block all apps. I would like to see the option given to parents to allow split screen, but other than that, everything works great.
