About this app

Dictate is a simple yet powerful keyboard, which converts spoken language into text. It uses an extremely powerful speech recognition AI in the background and therefore supports all common national languages. What's more, you don't have to dictate punctuation because Whisper adds it itself. You can even sing in text and it will be recognized correctly.

Other features include:
- custom rewording instructions (translation, summarizing, style-changing, ...) using GPT-5 (and many other models) 💡

For the app to be fully functional, every user must create an API key with OpenAI or Groq when setting it up for the first time. This incurs very low fees for each transcription (usually a few cents per month). There is a detailed explanation of this during setup.

Awesome! I miss the Pixel phone for the fantastic voice dictation. But I'm telling you, this dictate app is so, so good. It's like having the Pixel dictation on my Z Fold 7. If it could do on-the-fly dictation and display the words as I talk, it would be perfect. The app itself is almost flawless at dictation. I can't tell you how much I have been wanting dictation software that is this good on a Samsung. You are the man. Thank you so very much!

By far the best dictation software out there. I love this keyboard. I use it all the time. I love how it can detect between languages. I can speak in Spanish or in English and it detects the language automatically and dictates it perfectly. It's so much better than Google speech-to-text and a hundred times better than Apple speech-to-text. I hope more people use it and the developer keeps on with updates because so far there's nothing like it.

I am a big user of voice typing. Both APIs in this kb perform much better than Gboard. I'm really happy about that. However, the kb itself does not actually include a kb, just a few buttons like enter or spacebar. Bringing up a normal kb requires switching and some apps make you tap the text input field again. Not a great flow. A full kb is really needed for edits and emoji. I don't think I can be a full time user until a full kb is added to the voice input button. Easy 5 stars then!
