In 2009, Small Screen Software introduced Checkbook Genius to what used to be known as the Android Market, now the Google Play Store. Since then the app has gone through a number of major releases, with incremental changes in features and user interface design.
Celebrating over 10 years as an Android title, this new, lite version of Checkbook Genius does almost everything its full version predecessor (2020) did.
Checkbook Genius 4 Lite has these features:
- Attractive look and feel
- Filtering of transactions, totaling all entries found - search for any transaction with a few letters from the name of someone you paid
- Presets for repeated transactions with specific amounts you use every month
- Color chooser for account color blocks lets you choose any color you wish
Checkbook Genius 4 Lite does the math.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Checkbook Genius 4 Lite cannot import transactions from previous versions of Checkbook Genius, including Checkbook Genius 4. Checkbook Genius 4 also does not produce backup files local to the device. Some software vendors may offer alternatives for porting Checkbook Genius 4 Lite and its associated system-level data files to other Android devices. Release Notes For Checkbook Genius 4 Lite, Version 4.1.0:
1. New, more readable font.
2. On any of the Edit screens, if you make a change and tap the on-screen Cancel button without saving, you now receive a confirmation message asking if you want to leave without saving. All the Edit screens have this feature, but it doesn't work for the Android hardware back button, nor the soft back arrow button in the upper left corner of the screen.
3. Bug fix made for filtering transactions by amount.
