ABOUT ACCOUNT CREATION
SecureOps accounts are issued by WCSG Human Resources after a person completes our employment application, passes a background check, and verifies a valid Texas DPS security license. This is required by Texas Occupations Code Chapter 1702 (Private Security Act), which regulates who may work as a licensed security officer in Texas. We cannot offer in-app account self-signup because every account corresponds to a licensed security professional whose credentials must be verified before they can perform security work for our clients.
To apply for employment with WCSG, the public can use the application form at https://wcsgisecureops.com/admin-portal/apply (linked from our website).
LOCATION USE
Background location is used only while an officer is clocked in to an active shift, for officer safety (live dispatch map + geofence breach alerts). It stops when the officer clocks out. This is disclosed in-app before requesting permission and in our privacy policy.
EMERGENCY BUTTON
The Home screen has a hold-to-activate emergency button. In testing, you can trigger it — it will create a test incident record and attempt to push-notify other admins. It will also offer to dial our test emergency number (defaults to 911 — please do not actually call). On a real officer's device this dials WCSG dispatch.
Thank you for the review.
