About this app

Your ride is your voice.

When you ride your bike with Bike Streets, you help local advocates build the case for more investment in bikeways. Rather than being invisible, every ride we take should count towards a collective voice demanding more investment in complete bike networks.

- Be a weekly rider and help build the community voice calling for more investment.

- Add rides and miles to the community totals.

- Share your favorite chill routes and help crowdsource a Low-Stress Bike Map.

- Make it possible for anyone to ride to any destination using local knowledge.

- Help build a list of the most important upgrades needed to make biking better.

Bike Streets is free. We invite you to back the project if you're so inclined.

I like this app for casual cycling and social goals, like the Passport feature. Visiting places multiple times gets you stamps that you can redeem for goodies at those spots. While I'm sure adjustments will be made, I have found when using navigation, it will at times put you on streets adjacent to those with bike lanes, when it should be prioritizing those bike lane streets.

Thanks! When bike lanes are unprotected on bigger streets, we generally try to find adjacent quiet neighborhood streets to increase access for people of all abilities. But if you prefer a route on conventional bike lanes, we suggest using Wander mode. More on map design: bikestreets.com/blog/making-the-denver-bike-streets-map-its-about-access

Great app. The cues are much more descriptive and helpful than I've encountered in other apps. I wish we had an app like this for getting around Chicago. It would also be great to have a way to donate since the full subscription fee is steep for a week-long visit, but I'd love to support the makers.

I was super excited to try it and happy to make an account/accept terms and conditions but then I hit the pay wall and got sad. I ride in high-traffic areas so knowing a safer, quieter way to get around would be great but I can't afford another expense in Denver. The trial is a nice touch if you know you can afford the full service. I wish there was an option with ads so the developers can get paid without me picking up another bill. Thanks for making something nice, at least.

What’s new

New! - View ride detail for any ride by tapping on the thumbnail from the You tab or your ride list. From the ride detail, you can view which hexes in the Explorer's Map you discovered.
New! - When viewing directions options, a bar below the distance and estimated time shows the route info, detailing the % of the route on low-stress streets and paths.
