About this app

*Please note*: Aerial Dream streams videos constantly and will consume large amounts of bandwidth. Do not install on devices with limited network connectivity.

A screensaver for Android devices inspired on Apple TV's video screensaver.

Currently the displayed videos are the exact same used by Apple TV.
Though the videos are relatively small (below 200MB), it's still recommended that you have an appropriate internet plan so that you do not incur in extra costs. Most home or WiFi connections should be ok, while mobile data could be a problem.

The videos are hosted by Apple Inc. openly and without any sort of encryption or other form of protection, therefore this use is assumed to be legitimate.
If you have reason to believe otherwise please let me know.

In short: if you work for Apple please contact me before releasing the Kraken.

How to set Aerial Dream as your screensaver:
- Go into the System Preferences
- Select Display
- Select Daydream
- Select Aerial Dream

If you haven't experienced Aerial on Mac you may not be too disappointed in this but in comparison, it isn't anywhere as good. First, it either it hasn't been updated to use new sources or it just likes to show me the same videos all the time lol. Secondly, for some reason it can't play 4K videos, it just stutters but if I take the 4K HDR files from my computer and use a photo screensaver, it works fine. Lastly, there's no local support so you'll be downloading these same files constantly

i was going to give it 5 stars as it does a great job on showing aerial backgrounds. and works a little like aerial for mac. But after using it for two weeks i found out that i used more that 50Go of data over the wifi, it would have been ok if the app download the videos once but it download them everytime.... slowing down the network and using a lot of data.

Used to work on my Nvidia shield. Upgraded to the the 2019 shield and the app never worked again. Causes the whole system to freeze requiring a hard power cycle to fix it. If and when it does work in the future, it really needs an option to store the videos locally rather than have it chew through through bandwidth.
