About this app

The Plex Media Server scans and organizes your media, then lets you stream it to all of your devices. It's the central, most important piece of Plex. Once installed, it gets to work scanning and cataloging every piece of media, making it look beautiful and intuitively organized.

lifetime plex pass user. I've setup multiple Plex servers (video and audio). Handles large media libraries very well. I will say that it does work best after the initial data load. it can take a while to index your media, especially if you use the sonic analysis for Plexamp. I would like them to improve the phone-to-server sync for pictures.

Installed the server and the player on the Nvidia Shield Pro, logged in and started with server option enabled and storage permission given and set up default folders. Though Plex app will not let me add new libraries or give information to set up a library for videos saved on local storage. Keeps showing a screen telling me to go and install the appropriate apps. Plex offers no help not even to Plex Pass Holders, only refers you to problem solving articles and the forum has no one responding.

This latest update killed my plex install. (again) on my nvidia shield and forced me to reinstall everything from scratch including all my carefully setup libraries. This isn't the first time it's happened. Plex on the shield is awful.
