About this game

Sheltered is a post-apocalyptic disaster management game that gives a whole new meaning to the term “nuclear family”. Given a head-start over the billions lost in a nuclear holocaust, you must gather as many supplies as possible en route to the concrete underground shelter that will soon become your family home for the foreseeable dire future.
As the overwhelming despair of this new world surrounds you, how will you survive? Your approach to the countless moral choices you’ll be faced with on a daily basis, could be the difference between the lives of your family or their unfortunate end. Resources are scarce though, with barely enough to cling desperately to life for another day you’re already faced with a monumental choice. Who will you send to venture out into the vast unforgiving wasteland? Whilst exploration is a traumatic experience, the weapons you can craft from resources could tip the scales of life or death in your favour. Assaults from feral beasts and roaming factions are endlessly closing in, imminent and deadly risks surround you.
‘Violence is never the answer’… Maybe you once believed that, but combat may now be your only option for survival. As you and your family grow and progress, so do their skills, attributes and weaknesses. Ensure that they’re well equipped as you strategize, securing victory against those who threaten the survival of your family in tense turn based combat.

Edit: I've had this game for 4 years and there has not been a single addition to the game, if there was an addition it has been immensely unnoticeable. Review has dropped 2 stars. I think it is well worth the price, it plays well doesnt glitch out like people keep saying it does. Ive seen it run flawlessly on three phones (family) No issues on IPhone, Galaxy J7V, and an LG phone.

I would strongly recommend this game. I agree with everyone that the tutorial doesnt touch on nearly half the things that are going to help keep your family alive. But play your first game on easy or normal, its extremely forgiving, and once you get a good grip on the game switch to hardcore mode where every decision will matter a lot and even then things can still depend on luck. Youll probably find yourself forced to become a bandit. Its alot of fun

The game is an excellent concept. Managing your people is fun, and there is a good amount of procedural events that can mess with your attempts to maximize efficiency (not unlike RimWorld). But the controls are awful. I never know what is clickable and have trouble knowing when I've clicked it. Cycling through people is harder than it should be. I need to move my people aside so that they can use the very object they were standing in front of. Expeditions are a neat idea, but you don't get to see much of them (one of Fallout Shelter's biggest flaws). Many of the systems clash. It's fiddly to start or stop a task, and this has led me to for instance, accidentally send my little girl into the wasteland alone without a haz mat suit or a gas mask - 1. I couldn't cancel the expedition; 2. I already put her and her mother in haz mat suits, and then they took them off when going on the mission; and I didn't know that the suits don't have filters, so I didn't think to pack her a gas mask; 3. When I realized they were leaving without suits, I canceled the expedition for her mom but then had no way to cancel it for her. Placing objects you're crafting is a nightmare, because I have to find an area outside re hit box in order to move the screen to the correct area. And crafting is also odd because I have no in-game way to know where the components can be found. It is extremely hard to manage the colony's inventory. These UI issues need to be fixed. And the clashing systems. The underlying gameplay is pretty good, but the design on the surface has too many problems.
