About this app

This application adds Montreal STM buses information to MonTransit.

The app contains the planned schedule as well as real time service updates from www.stm.info and the latest news from www.stm.info and @stm_Bus, @stminfo and @stm_nouvelles on Twitter.

STM buses serve Montreal, QC, Canada.

Once this application is installed, the MonTransit app will display buses information (schedule...).

You can install this application on the SD card but it is not recommended.

The information comes from the GTFS file provided by the Société de Transport de Montréal.

my general experience with this app is: check to see when the next bus is, says there's no bus for like 40 minutes, check Google maps trip planner, see the next bus is actually in 5 minutes. Its just not accurate. more often than not it's missing 2-3 busses which Google shows just fine, so I don't buy their excuse that stm busses don't have the GPS or it's stm failing to provide the info. it's the app specifically.

The bus "real time" locations are worse then useless since they can mislead you and they're not remotely accurate. On days the bus never even comes the app will show a phantom bus drive right by (hey, maybe it's the Night Bus?!). Also the times change willy-nilly depending on which direction you're moving, even if it's only a block and you're not particularly close to another bus stop. The only useful feature is having the bus schedules and stop locations in one easy spot.

That app is always too late or just too early. Sometimes I let it open so I know when to go out, it says the next bus pass in 20 minutes, and then 2 minutes later it says there's one coming right now so I don't even have time to go out. Also it happened more than two times that I was waiting for a bus and it just never came ( keep in mind I'm 17 and live in a bad area and finish work at 23) so it's pretty dangerous also.
