I'll throw in 3 1/2☆. NJT's app has it uses, but it's limited. & Unless I missed something I didn't see where 1 can purchase monthly bus cards. You really might be better off getting the Transit app here on Playstore. It tells you when your bus/train will be arriving or a good approximation, plus upcoming rides. There's a paid version of the app where the arrival times are even more accurate, but the free version is good.

5his app is mostly functional. That is the highest compliment I can give it. When you go to pay a lot of times, the payment processing errors out. Very unrelieable. And thats not the experience youre looking for in transportation. So buy in bulk or carry cash. cash is king. update: make sure this app pings your location or the payment will fail. sometimes when closed and reopened it doesn't ping your location.

The app works and doesn't crash. It does display times and routes. What is very frustrating from a train app is that it does not seem to display the track number. Also seemingly silly is that once you have mapped your train route it does not seem to allow you "click this route and purchase the ticket" you have to go back to the purchase ticket pathway. I guess the app takes after New Jersey as a whole. So close to greatness. But not actually great.
