As a driver, this app is unpolished. Notifications tell you to "tap to learn more" but lead you to the homepage, leaving you to fend for yourself. Leaving the app at all resets it, meaning you have to tap a dozen times to re-enter nav during a trip, which is unsafe. You'll get informed of a ride but aren't told any other info, meaning you have to tap through each city to see where it might be. Nav must be screen-on, which makes your phone hot to the touch. Support, however, is always excellent.

I hate driving. Loathe it. Especially on long distances. Hitch is a lifesaver because it enables me to traverse between cities with ease and comfort. I can let someone else deal with the traffic while I relax comfortably in the back seat. This service is a great option for last-minute trips when airfare is outrageous, or when simply opting for a quick getaway. I recommend Hitch for professionals who need to travel but prefer to avoid crowds, students, and people going on "local" vacations.

I'm glad this service exists, because it has been vital to me as a college student. That said, the app experience and UI do not make me very happy. I've heard from both riders and drivers that the app tends to crash a lot. In fact, during my first use of it, the entire server crashed and every ride was canceled. I hope they are able to get the kinks worked out!
