About this app

Touch Blocker can intercept touches, taps, swipes, gestures, and any other input on your screen, so you can leave your screen on without worrying about accidental input.

Listen to YouTube with your phone in your pocket. Leave a chart open on desk tablet.

Touch Blocker is the only app I know of that correctly and fully intercepts screen input to lock your screen on and avoid swipes, system navigation, and opening the notification shade.

Note that Touch Blocker uses the Accessibility APIs in Android to display a screen overlay. Touch Blocker will ask for this permission in the system settings when you open Touch Blocker. Touch Blocker does not collect or store any data and only uses this permission to display the overlay as necessary to function.

Touch Blocker is open source.

I mean.... it does what it says, fairly well I might add. I've had it for a full day but I did stumble a bit with it's shortcut activation, you have to choose this as your Digital assistant app. I use this to play YouTube Music through my earphones while I'm at work with my phone in my pocket. All in all I recommend it

Glad it's working great for YT Music. I actually have an upcoming update to change the text hopefully clarifying the assistant language.

Feature Request: Please add an option for Touch Blocker to persist its state across reboot—start in blocked state automatically after restart (if Android permits). Also expose a direct trigger (public intent / app shortcut / Quick Settings tile) to enable/disable/toggle blocking, so I can call it from LlamaLab Automate or Tasker.

Thanks. I like the ideas. Maybe something to add for the premium users.

Works pretty well! I can still navigate with swiping, but it prevents immediate touching of the screen. I'm not sure if I'm missing anything about that aspect, but other than that this apps work for what I want it to do.

What’s new

Add option to toggle touch blocking with the assistant button (long-press the power button on Pixel devices)
