Ratings and reviews

Very simple and easy to operate. It even provides quizzes/tests, testing you on the tones. However, the "spell" function is a little confusing - it doesn't always work - and the voice could sound more natural. That's my only criticism. Other than that, 9/10. Would definitely recommend.

Please add ability to listen all sounds with chosen tone. When we push "Reading" we listen all sounds, but only in 1 tone. Nevertheless we can manually listen each sound push "sound + tone number". So it would be nice to push "tone 2" + "Reading" and listen all sound in tone 2. Another option to make 4 buttons "Reading 1/2/3/4" to start listening. It seems pronounce of «Ü» isn't correct. I listen other sources and their sound was different. Also "ong" slight different as well.

I have limited experience with Mandarin, so I can't officially speak of it's efficacy in terms of pronunciation, but it's got me convinced. The pin yin is not just written down for the user to copy, rather it is interactive, allowing you to combine all of the consonants and vowels to get the full breadth of pronunciation in Mandarin. This app is not for people looking to learn the characters of Mandarin, it is pure pronunciation and it delivers what it has to offer very well.
