About this app

Use the 5K Run app to improve your stamina, endurance, and health to help you run a 5K! Your body's strength will gradually increase over time with the 'interval training' method.

Over the next 8 weeks your running will be steadily improved. You will start with 1 minute jogging intervals in-between 1.5 minute walks. As you complete runs your body will be strengthened and the program will slowly become more challenging. You will be on your 5K run before you know it!

Take your device with you on your runs! Listen to your favorite music and get prompted over your headphones to run or walk. Your entire 5k run will be directed through your headphones or speakers.

Glancing at the app while on your run will show you:
✔ How long you have been running
✔ How much time you have left on your run
✔ How much time you have left on your current interval

Need to stop and tie your shoe? Pause 5K Run! Or, press Back/Next to go to different intervals.

Great app! This is one of the only free running app that takes you through a whole program. I had no issues with the app hanging up. What would make this app better is the ability to train by time and distance. Also some of running days are long. It would be nice if it works with fitness watches (fitbit) and programs (MyfitnessPal).

I just finished my second week, and so far the app has only accurately tracked ONE run. Coincidentally, it was my only run where I didn't stream music while I used the app. When I finish, it will tell me I ran .06 miles or .16 miles, so it stops tracking within the first two minutes. Luckily I have a Garmin watch and I manually correct the distance at the end. Overall, it's "ok". Easy to use and I get encouragement halfway thru. Not worth the upgrade if you have a GPS watch.

It's okay, in the past I had Couch to 5k app but I made the switch from iPhone. Trying to avoid paying for the other app I downloaded this. During the run it was great aside from the ads but when I went to look at distance and map route. No info could be seen unless you upgrade to pro. Might as well pay for the other app as its cheaper and is just as great if not better. If you don't care to see any of your history and want it just for the run it works for just that!
