Pay with Your Phone
The Clipper app gives you step-by-step instructions for setting up a new Clipper card or transferring an existing Clipper card to Google Pay.

Manage Your Account
The Clipper app gives you the same account access as the website, but on your phone! You can register a new card, load cash value and transit passes, set up Autoload, view your recent activity, and other features. You can also manage multiple Clipper cards in one place.

Plan Your Trip
The Clipper app has real-time transit information and helpful trip planning tools to make getting around the Bay easy! You can view nearby transit options and routes, get real-time travel and arrival information, and save your favorite locations, stops, and stations.

App can't read my existing card to transfer it to my phone. The phone makes the beeping noise that an NFC tap has been completed, but the app just says it can't read it. There is a message on the screen that a "stable data connection is required", but here I am, successfully online, telling you how bad the app is. The only thing I can use the app for is to check my balance. Not worth it, keep your plastic card and save yourself the hassle.

I found this app frustrating. I am able to add a new clipper card but not covert to GPay and my phone has all the qualifications to do so but this app keeps giving an error. So then I try to add a payment, nope, that didn't work either. I have a registered card that is lost. Do you think I can use this app to report it as lost or stolen? Nope, nada, no bueno. Strike three, your out! Uninstalled

DON'T DO IT!!! Using a real card is far superior. Otherwise you have to open the app and poke at it. It takes extra time and often several tries. Also if your phone battery is dead you are out of luck. Meanwhile you are holding up the bus annoying the driver and all the other passengers. If you want to look Tech savvy just put the card in your phone case. Tap and go, no need to fuss over it and it works even if your battery is dead.
