Great app for heart health. My doctor suggested I find an app to track my steps following heart surgery. I have been using Step Counter since 2017. I like the history and stats. Steps are accurate after making adjustments as described in the help. Does not use GPS or ask for sensitive info. Only needs height, weight, and stride length. Kinda nice in a world where everyone else wants your current location, personal history, and access to all your phone functionality :)

The app was okay despite being less accurate than others and having an overabundance of ads. But since the ads were increased from too many to insane, the app has become unusable. there are now 30 second video ads that you cannot skip that run every single time you try to look at the steps you've taken or anything else. even if you have the ads muted, they disable sound on any other apps you may be using such as YouTube, audible, or the like. Developer greed made this app worthless. A shame.

By the instructions giving me the imperial (inches, pounds) option, I was easily able to set up my program using my actual measurements. This gave accurate counts for my walks. 2 weeks later, I am uninstalling. The app keeps pausing and missing most of my steps. I did not see a solution in settings.
