I'm also unhappy that, as a previous purchaser, I have to pay for a newer version. As I recall, the previous version of the app had a lot of group features that were a little too complicated to set up. I only really need it for the random student generator. I used to use Class Cards but I don't have an iPhone anymore. I'll add to this review when I see the new version.

Jennifer....you definitely can still use the previous version of the app if you like. Email me at support@inpocketsolutions.com if you need help on downloading it on a new device.

Quite an interesting app to use! Love how we can design different profiles on the students and reenact like we're in a classroom and being a teacher is fun, the only flaw with this app is there is not a lot of things to do other than calling the students out and marking them here or absent, but other than that this game is pretty well done and if there was more activity for us to do with the students this app will 100% get the 5 stars it deserves! ❤

Thanks. The app is actually designed for teachers, but I'm glad you find it fun to use playing a teacher. The main purpose of the app is to be able to call on students in the class and track who has been called so everyone gets a chance to participate.

I love your app and I have used it for many years to initially learn the names of my students and then ensure an even distribution in question sessions. I want to upgrade, but I am not sure if I can import the students in a CSV file. Is this possible or must I use Google Classroom or Sheets? Will the classes from the older version also be imported into the new version?

Hi Jon. If you have a CSV file all you have to do is open it up in a spread sheet program (Sheets, Excel) on your device and then highlight the cells, and select copy and then you can import the data in the app. I removed the CSV option in the new version as too many users and incorrectly formatted CSV data that caused too many problems.
