Ratings and reviews

This review is for the paid version, which I recommend. I've been using Mondly to learn languages for a while. Mondly Czech, like other Mondly apps, is a great compliment to other popular language apps. I wish there were more tips about grammar rules, pronunciation, and spelling, but the "learn by example" approach is still very useful.

There's a 1-second delay between choosing the next word and the app actually registering it. I keep failing lessons simply because I'm too fast for the app and tap the next buttons before my last input has been accepted. The chatbot only gives you predetermined answers to choose from. It you say anything valid not in the proposed answers, it's marked as a mistake. It also made me say "Pleased to meet you" and it answered "I'm fine, thanks." There's no way I'm going to pay for this.

The app has a nice refreshing UI. However, I completed one lesson, closed the app, then came back to it an hour later to find that the sound has stopped working entirely. ive tried altering the settings, using headphones, clearing cache etc. Other apps work fine. Kinda pointless without the sound. Will be 5 stars if fixed.
