I like it in general terms but there's only one thing I don't like so far and it's the fact everything is based on translation. I don't think it is a good way to learn a language. I haven't been able to get an app which doesn't use translation. The concept is nice, very similar to other applications of its kind.
Really awesome learning model. Worth the subscription cost. You'll pay $35 a month to stream garbage through Direct TV Now but you won't pay for a mind expanding journey into appreciating other cultures?
So the approach and execution of the lessons are very good. But how they keep you locked out of content is a crock of you know what. You're allowed about 5 min of lesson every 4 hours. I've been doing the same chat bot lesson for the last few days bc it won't unlock the next lesson. They're all but forcing you to subscribe to premium and that's a load of crap. And also, the microphone software doesn't pickup well (no its not my phone). I've learned French before and know how to pronounce words (and the speaker on the app is pronouncing it the same way) but the app is pulling stuff out of left field and keeps making me repeat.
Like I am learning so far. My mind bleeds but i can do this!
Just amazing! My favourite app. Only one thing does bother me is the microphone. It is inconsistent.
Wonderful except for the inconsistency of the microphone. When it works it adds a lot to my actual speaking. It's hit and miss but this is my favorite app.
