Bromcom's MyChildAtSchool Parent App is designed to increase the parental engagement between Parents and Schools by sharing key information about their children's day to day school information.

Bad app that has only got worse since the latest update. Push notifications no longer work, the sorting of announcements and messaging is not user friendly, and the dinner booking service enabled by the school didn't work properly for months, with the wrong balance being displayed. At least booking parents evening worked and was simple to do.

Functionality: previous versions on Android allowed a download of timetable. This function is either missing or well hidden. Writing a message is difficult as the text box limits visibility of what you've typed. There's no facility to delete messages or mark them as read or important. So it's just a long unmanageable list of info Accessibility: No dark mode available. No ability to zoom in on messages and text is small. Doesn't seem compatible with screen readers.

The app has always been mediocre at best but at least functioned in the basic sense and as intended. Since the recent update, it's knocked out all notifications though! Nothing comes through to the phone, the app itself shows nothing as new (so you have to manually flip through everything and try and see if any new messages or announcements have been made) and no emails. No options within to check and confirm notifications setting and contact details are correct. Makes the app basically useless.
