Definitely feels like a work in progress. They should definitely add a follow option so you won't get 100+ friend notifications an hour. They have a large catalog of movies, but still MANY missing (including new like The Black Phone and Nope, and even old like the original It movie). Not a terrible app, just still a lot of work to do on it.

Thanks for your feedback!
We decided not to use following, because it's very one-sided and we wanted it to be a mutually beneficial situation for people. Much easier to spread the horror this way!
The movie database is provided by a third party who also provides it to Letterboxd. Sometimes they get the categories wrong.
I hope this is helpful!

This site itself is great as a social media app for horror geeks, but the functionality of it is awful and frustrating. It's missing basic functions that most other social media apps and sites have like a decent search function, a mute button for friends and to take breaks from some folks, and chronological listing of posts. It also constantly crashes.
We appreciate your feedback and will certainly consider these features for future updates!

So here's the thing...this app is honestly amazing. It's basically Twitter but strictly for horror people. The problem is that the mobile app version, which is the only version that's available at the moment, is extremely inconvenient. As it has been mentioned here, it's almost impossible to create meaningful content without a more accessable and convenient desktop/laptop version on a website like other social media sites. Hoping this arrives soon.

Thanks for your feedback! We're about to begin beta testing the desktop/website version in a matter of days. Within the next 6 months, Slasher will have a ton of new features that people have been asking for! Thanks again!
