shapez is a relaxed game in which you have to build factories for the automated production of geometric shapes. As the level increases, the shapes become more and more complex, and you have to spread out on the infinite map.
And as if that wasn't enough, you also have to produce exponentially more to satisfy the demands - the only thing that helps is scaling! While you only have to process shapes at the beginning, you will later have to color them - by extracting and mixing colors!

This game has quickly become a small obsession for me, which considering the bugs I was dealing the first time I tried to play this, I'm very pleased. No major issues, only thing if note is that on occasion the conveyor belt placement breaks if you undo and try to place in the same spot again. Very satisfying game to play. I do wish there was an option to slow the edge panning, because I like to USE the edge panning, it just goes too fast to be useful for me, so I usually just keep it off.

Edit (07/27/2024): Playdigious responded fast to my review, but their suggestions to "open the game with an internet connexion and switch to offline mode after" doesn't help when I'm bored and disconnected from an internet connection (ie. airplane, tunnel, remote countryside). It especially doesn't help for a game that has no VS mode, isn't competitive, and doesn't have ads. It's a puzzle game. Please fix this. Can't play the full version without an internet connection

quite possibly the best mobile game I've ever played. it's got just about everything I could want. no timer but clear goals that require thought. the ability to just play with a fun intuitive system builder. the mobile controls are very well done. the main thing I'd want to swap is controlling what the different finger combinations do. id like to be able to long tap and move or something with one finger when scrolling and building. anyways. great game. can't wait for sequel!
