With the new mobile application for your Direct Express® Debit MasterCard® card, you can manage your money conveniently and securely from your mobile device. The mobile application is free to download for the cardholders whose card number starts with 533248. You need to register again with your card details prior to logging in the first time.

Please Note: If your card begins with 511563 DO NOT download this app. Please look for the yellow Direct Express® logo with a description stating that the app is for cards which start with the numbers 511563.

When you sign up to receive your federal benefits on the Direct Express® card, you will receive your payment every month without having to worry about cashing your check or having it lost or stolen. Instead of receiving a check, your money will be automatically deposited to your Direct Express® card account on payment day. You can use your card to make purchases at stores that accept Debit MasterCard®, withdraw cash from Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), and get cash back when you make purchases. You can also use your debit card online to make payments and to also buy money orders at the U.S. Post Office.

Constant Problems. I've used DE for 10+ yrs but it's getting so bad this last year or 2. My purchases, esp. through Google are always denied. Often, I can find a workaround like Amazon Pay to complete my purchase but it isn't always available. I'm looking for a bank to move my money to, I shouldn't have to constantly fight to use my own money. *YES, I've called CS reps and they just say to use CashApp or PayPal. WHAT?? It's ridiculous.

I have had this app for years and now I can't even use it Very very disappointed. is anyone having problems with this app that you can't even get into it. I JUST WANT SOME HELP PLEASE !!!!! everytime I call them they get me in then I close it it locks me out then tells me call the app I would have to call them a lot all I want is to see where my money gose. no one will help me. I'm even thinking about changing banks.

I previously had used Direct Express card yellow (#5115) w/o any issues. A year ago, my benefits were loaded to a new D.E. card green (#5332). So far, so good. Choosing Direct Express debit to have my benefit payments loaded to was one of the best decisions I've made. I highly recommend Direct Express to anyone who doesn't have banking access. And is looking for a safe easy way to receive their benefit payments using a debit card instead of receiving a paper check.
