Ratings and reviews

Google popped up a notice today that shows the app has started sharing my location with advertisers. I would prefer that were not the case. Otherwise, the functionality is awesome. Google Play shows: "Data shared and for what purpose. Approximate location: App functionality, Analytics, Advertising or marketing, Fraud prevention, security, and compliance Precise location: App functionality".

I've noticed I no longer get any cell tower information. I understand from the app the information is collected from an external database, but I'm not seeing any. I'm on Verizon. Also, in the app store I see an almost identical app "Network Cell Info Lite" that seems to be the same version, but has more downloads and different screens. Why? Confused

The Pro version is an excellent engineering tool. I just used the recording feature to collect sets of data to validate good location for a booster antenna. This is so much better than wandering around (disturbing the field you're measuring). 1. set the phone. 2. select the map and clear it. 3. Come back in 20 minutes and download a CSV file of REAL data. 4. move phone, repeat.
