Very fun game with a couple of problems. First, the on-screen interface for both the fighting game style and the rhythm game style minigames is absolutely atrocious. Second, the walking speed is inexplicably slow with no run button. From beginning to end, I was willing my character to just move faster. Each of those detracted from the experience enough to remove a star. That said, I did push through to 100% because it is a fun game, and I would still recommend it (especially with a controller).

The game is fun. It doesn't work with being logged into Google (I'm using Pixel 8). It kept crashing while signing in to Play Games. If you have this issue, go to your play game services, find Evoland 2, and sign out. The game will load, your saves will now be local, not account-based, but that's okay. 4 stars because it took me a while to find a fix for a compatibility issue that shouldn't exist, we should be long past the Google compatibility problems by now.

Really enjoyed the game in spite of control issues and some uncaught exceptions. If you encounter one after clearing the time guardian as it fades to white for the next cut-scene, here's a temporary work-around I found on reddit. Close and reopen the game, then 'Set music+sound to zero. Beat stage and see cutscene. Turn on music+sound after.' Hope this helps Nick and anyone else who became stuck at this point like I was.
