10/2025 review from a 20se android phone thing. the game works great. game changer right here= there is an auto save! busy? put the your device down? no problem!! Only 2 minor annoying things (other than the annoying stuff from the original game)- hard to hold charge attacks (might be my phone) still can play game effectively - once in a while the walk button gets stuck in an odd place and may or maynot require closing the game to fix, depending. this only happened 3 times my entire play through

There are a lot of softlocks. These softlocks make you invulnerable, unable to hit enemies, and enemies like the final boss are unable to be targeted with important sword attacks. I never had the pleasure of finishing this game from my childhood. So, I figured why not buy this version. Well, I made it to the end of the game, but cannot finish, which is disappointing to say the least.

I played this game so much as a child it was an amazing find when I had a long haul flight coming up and needed some entertainment. Imagine my extreme frustration when I opened the game ready to pass the time in nostalgia-ville and I'm presented with a "can't validate purchase of game" error due to me being offline! Game is 100% unusable if it cannot talk to the servers despite essentially the whole game being downloaded locally. Absolutely ridiculous IMO as other Square games work fine. Fix!!!!
