This app has been a bit of a roller coaster over the years but currently it works well. I've been able to sync up my new Rider 550 (replacing a 410) and all functions appear to work fine. Thank goodness the sharing options within routes are back, planning a route and directly sharing to a group chat is what sets TomTom apart for me. Now please don't meddle for meddlings sake š. *I have suffered the occasional battery drain issue, resolved by setting background battery to restricted in settings.

I find that every time that I use your link to revert MyDrive to v16, it updates itself overnight whilst I'm asleep to v20. It said this morning that the Rider 550 was connected, but it was switched off. The problem seems to be that MyDrive is using up loads of battery trying to connect to the satnav, which isn't in use. I also have to delete the phone from the 550 each time I update MyDrive and start again connecting it, which is suboptimal. Only putting MD to deep sleep saves the battery.

Hi Ian, sorry to hear about the issue with the app. Please try to reinstall the app and test. Make sure to restrict background activity on the app- On the smartphone, go to Settings - Battery - App battery management - Select the MyDrive app and locate this feature to turn off. Thanks ^Nikita

Always draining battery on Android phone, regularly stops working, having to uninstall, reinstall it on weekly basis I've tried all battery settings, as suggested, the App is still draining the battery, is there another App suitable to Tom Tom device? The Link/version you gave me has a message in doesn't exist, Is/was there a time lapse to use it?
