This devices detector is your essential hidden devices detector app whether you are at home, in the office, or in public spaces. Detectify - Device Detector utilises advanced technology to detect spy bugs and it allows you to detect hidden devices discreetly.

This app uses an algorithm to detect hidden devices using magnetometer readings. When the magnetic field value is higher than usual, the app alerts user to search for potential hidden electronic devices in the surroundings. Usage:
Open detectify hidden devices detector – camera detector, then move your phone in your surroundings. The app will show a message that potential electronic device nearby, if this happens then check the area manually for any spy bugs. Mostly holes or gaps in the corners, such as bedside lamps, drawer locks and stuffed toys can be used to hide electronic devices. This feature may also be used as a bug detector scanner to scan the surroundings for potential electronic bugs.

Working of the app:
Electronic devices have magnetic field which are measured by using devices detector’s special algorithm to give you an idea about the presence of potential electronic devices in your surroundings. Rather than using manual listening device detector you can make use of this app to find potential spy devices.

Note:
The magnetic field value depends on quality of magnetometer sensor and its position. Do not rely solely on its readings rather check the area manually to detect hidden cameras and microphones. Your phone must have a magnetometer sensor to use the app.

This app is pretty straightforward and the ads are not terrible. There are two attributes that would help a non-computer person like myself: give options, possible reasons, or instructions when suspicious wifi or wireless cameras are detected. And maybe show normal ranges for everyday objects when using the magnetometer. The whole roof of my old car seems to set it off. All in all, good app🙂

App works as intended. Using a galaxy s9. I lost my ear buds and I was about to throw in the towel then I remembered they give off interference. I searched for magnetic detection apps and I found this. I crawled around the floor and other areas and sure enough I picked up a reading when going over a sock. Boom there it was. if this app doesn't work for you, your phone is either broken or lacks the component used to detect the interference. good app guys! suggestion, pay to kill ads

My phone starts vibrating as soon as I start the app - regardless of where I am. It doesn't beep (which the app info says it will do), even when I key up a walkie talkie radio right next to it. If it can't even do that, there's no way it's going to detect a hidden sensor. There a running graph that I think it's supposed to indicate proximity to a device, but there's no instructions on how to interpret the readings. Uninstalled!
