About this app

Mindfulness Chime is a hourly chime app (also known as a talking clock, speaking clock, hourly alert, hourly beep, hourly reminder, hourly signal or just a blip blip) that help you to tracking time better with 5 mins, 10 mins, quarter-hourly, half-hourly and hourly reminder chimes.

You can set different sounds for each time slots such as hourly, half-hourly... so it's more easier to known the time.

The option to speak the current time is also support. Speak out loud the time so you don't need to open your phone, safer while driving.

Support muted time range setting, auto turn off at desired time.

NOTICE: A text-to-speech engine must be installed, like for example Google TTS, IVONA TTS, Vocalizer TTS or SVOX Classic TTS. The TTS engine is not part of this application and can be downloaded from the Play Store. The quality of the voice depends from the installed TTS engine.

- Internet: to collect bug/crash log (via google service) in order to fix and make app better day by day
- Vibration: to use vibrate function as app have a Vibrate Only option
- Foreground Service: to run app in background to schedule alarm for ringing bell

Ratings and reviews

App is very simple and straightforward - all important functions are on one screen. Good announcement intervals, and it uses your sound/voice library. Can quickly enable/disable it, and most importantly, it can run in the background while minimized and with the screen turned off. Ads are not a problem - non-intrusive and can be quickly dismissed. Thank you for a great app!

It's very basic and hasn't had any kind of meaningful update in more than a year. It hardly ever triggers. I set it up, it works for like a day, and then I eventually forget that it's installed. So disappointed. Old: I'm liking this app. I just REALLY wish it had a setting for when it's in vibrate mode. It'd also be great if I could set up different patterns for when it's in vibrate mode.

Just what I was looking for: I wanted an app that will do a single chime every 15 minutes. Just to make me aware of the passage of time. I did not want an alarm (that would chime repeatedly or require me to interact with the phone) which would break my focus more than necessary. Very happy, too, that it doesn't ask for any permissions. So many apps try to pile on a bunch of needless and suspect permissions.
