Jeeze, really bad choices on the new app UI. Now by default you can't see if the code is about to timeout. Only if you choose "Icon" view, which is not desired in the first place. And in the default list-view, the view is cluttered by codes from all the other synced accounts - a needless and pointless change - also introducing a security prob. It was great the way it was, no need to change, and nothing gained by the changes. Now it's kind of a mess. As an authenticator app it does work though.

The 'new' UI is horrid. Dark mode has been removed, and I can no longer have a long-form list of all my accounts without having several codes adjacent to the one I want displaying/rotating onscreen. There's no option to keep using the old UI. There was no need to change the app experience at all; changing it yesterday was a degradation, and changing it back today would be an improvement. I'm now worried what will change tomorrow; I don't want that with a security app, I want stability.

UX update is rough. Too much information at once, difficult to find what I'm looking for, the "cute" look obscures important information. Another result of this: scrolling consistently triggers the edit/remove menu vs actually scrolling, which means I can't scroll with one hand. I don't need to see all the codes at once. I'm logging into one thing, not 30.
