Takes upwards of 20 seconds to find lock by proximity. Cannot use spaceship mode on home door (not registered as a favorite, no permission to add to favorites). Cannot add multiple pins for the door. Locking the door is moderately responsive, but still takes 3+ seconds for the door to realize you're trying to lock it. Occasionally locks door while it's open for indiscernible reasons. It's about two years too early for market. At this point it's worse in every way from having a key.

The app and lock system are low grade junk. The locks are cheap and you can feel it when using them. The app frequently can't find the locks. For some reason you can't favorite your own front door or back door. But the pool thats closed for the year? Sure!!! There is no user manual. The main website is just a sales funnel. Despite what is said from the sales rep, these locks ARE wifi enabled. Chirp just doesn't want you using it. In short if my apt complex didn't force this on me there is no way in hell I'd use such a poor product.

It's a really dumb idea to replace key fobs with this system. I've been living with it for a while, including several weeks with the "faster" NFC system enabled. It's still slow, and the app sometimes crashes. Then I'm left with no way to get into the building or into the parking garage. Also, sometimes I want to go for a run and a key fob is way more convenient than lugging around a phone. If anything, this system should be another option along side, but in no circumstances a complete replacement for, key fobs. This is especially true now that the app crashes immediately after opening since the last version update (Pixel 5, up to date Android 12). Until they get it fixed, I'll have to rely on others to get into the building and down to the parking garage. Key fob - I miss you!
