The Premera app doesn’t currently support information for our Medicare Advantage or Medicare Supplement customers, or for those who bought an individual or family plan through Washington Healthplanfinder.org or HealthCare.gov.

Ratings and reviews

Sign in process is extremely inconvenient. I don't get why you need to sign in every time you open the app, it's ridiculous and makes the app useless to have. Might as well just bookmark the website and call it a day. You'd think with most of their reviews being 1-star for years they'd be eager to resolve their issues, but I guess since it's not simple to leave them for better alternatives there's no incentive for them to fix anything.

Just started using it with new employer's plan. Mostly seems fine so far, but annoyingly, the app speaks when I perform certain actions, even though I don't have any accessibility options enabled. When I log in, it says, "Login successful"; when I view my ID card, it says, "Displaying [my name] ID card, front image", and so on. I can't find any way to turn it off!

They can sadly do better. Between the app being slow, still can't look up pricing for things including prescriptions, something that's pretty obvious. And should give you options to directly contact somebody at the insurance company when you're having a problem. All those things are buried in the interface. The website is more useful than this app is. And it's sad because I bet they've dumped millions into this and this is all the better they can do.
