About this app

GlucoDataHandler (GDH): Your central hub for glucose readings on your Android devices!

Keep your glucose levels in check with GlucoDataHandler (GDH)! This innovative app receives data from various sources and visualizes it clearly on your Android smartphone, smartwatch (Wear OS, Miband, and Amazfit), and in your car (via GlucoDataAuto).

Your benefits with GDH:
- Diverse data sources:
- Cloud services: Seamless integration with LibreLinkUp, Dexcom Share, Medtrum, and Nightscout.
- Local apps: Compatible with Juggluco, xDrip+, AndroidAPS, Eversense (via ESEL), Dexcom BYODA (xDrip+ Broadcast), and Diabox.
- Notifications (Beta!): Receives values from Cam APS FX, Dexcom G6/G7, Eversense, and potentially many more apps (just contact me!).
- Comprehensive visualization:
- Practical widgets and a floating widget for a quick overview.
- Informative notifications directly on your screen.
- Optional display as lock screen wallpaper.
- Always On Display (AOD) support.
- Customizable alarms: Configure alarms that notify you in time.
- Wear OS integration:
- Use practical complications on your watch face.
- Receive alarms directly on your watch.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: GDH is not a standalone Wear OS app. The phone app is required for setup.
- WatchDrip+ support: Use GDH with specific Miband and Amazfit devices.
- Accessibility: Full TalkBack support (Thanks to Alex for testing!).
- Android Auto: In conjunction with the GlucoDataAuto (GDA) app, you can keep track of your values while driving.
- Tasker integration: Automate processes with your preferred automation app.
- Data forwarding: Share your glucose values as broadcasts to other compatible apps.

Foreground service:
To ensure reliable data retrieval from cloud services at your configured interval, keep widgets, notifications, and Wear OS complications up to date, and ensure alerting, GDH runs as a foreground service in the background.

Accessibility Service API (Optional Feature):
GDH optionally uses the AccessibilityService API to display your glucose values directly on your Always On Display (AOD) screen. This feature is optional and requires a device that supports AOD. This permission is ONLY used to draw the glucose information onto the AOD. NO other data is accessed, collected, stored, or shared. The user has to grant this permission EXPLICITLY in the settings.

Supported languages:
- English
- German
- Polish (Thanks, Arek!)
- Portuguese (Thanks, Mauricio!)
- Spanish (Thanks, Julio and Daniel!)
- French (Thanks, Didier and Frédéric!)
- Russian (Thanks, Igor!)
- Italian (Thanks, Luca!)

Love the app, but... 1. I'd like to see a complication that combines the graph, current reading, delta and change. 2. With LibreLinkUp cloud service, I lose connection often and have to switch the cloud service off then back on in the phone app to immediately show a current reading. I've tried the setting to connect with the password next time, but it doesn't seem to help. My LibreLinkUp app never loses connection and neither does my other app using LibreLinkUp.

Hi, thank you! A complication with all these information makes no real sense, as it is too tiny. Abbott is blocking too many requests, so if you are using all these app, I'm not surprised, that it will not work. But for such problems, please use the contact option and provide logs. Thank you.

I love this app! The widgets are great! My Freestyle Libre 3 app does not provide them. The app also allows me to set a lot of things for my preferences that the Libre app does not. It would be great if you could add a Brief Widget that I could add to my Samsung Galaxy S25 lock screen as these are the only kind it will let me use. The lock screen notifications are already a great help! I am so very grateful that I found this app! Thank you very much!!!

Hi, thank you for your feedback! GDH already supports lockscreen and AOD "widgets", just go to settings and enable it. Alternatively you can use Samsungs Good Lock in combination with Lockstar. Regards, Michael

ALL the visualisations I want! Display glucose over google maps while I drive, Always-on-display for next to my bed at night. Notifications exactly as I want them, the less important muted at night, and only those I need. A bit of a hack to setup with the freestyle libre, some tech savviness required, but instructions are clear and it fixes all of the (many) annoyances with the freestyle app. With FS Libre it needs internet connection to work, but otherwise has proven itself to be reliable.

Hi, I'm using it the same way with maps and at night. But I have connected my Libre to Juggluco, so no internet connection is required and many more benefits... Best regards, Michael
