The Direct Energy App provides easy access to all account information at your fingertips. The app is available for Texas and Northeast/ Midwest customers. You can monitor your usage, renew plans, earn referral rewards, pay your bill, and more. Log in with the same username and password as your Direct Energy Online Account Manager.

I've been a customer with direct energy for 4 years now. Everything was always great (the customer service, the app, the navigation of the web page even choosing an energy option) until they got hacked maybe 1 to 2 years ago. Ever since, seems like they change and update the app every week. Also, one day it's working and 5 seconds later its not. I've had trouble logging in since the mishap. You'd think if the app is down you can just go online to sign in, well you'd be wrong!

Hey Murphy, to help determine whether it's an issue with your log in credentials or the app, we recommend attempting to log in to your Online Account Manager via a web browser. The app never works right away. I just tried to make a payment and the "button" does nothing. I end up closing it and trying later several times and still sometimes end up going to the desktop site. Previously I've had problems with it saying my balance is zero and I had no cards stored for payments. It's frustrating. The company in general is too. I get no less than 6 emails before my due date.

This app doesn't work at all. All it says is an error occurred and tells you to back out to the log in screen. The website works fine. The app sucks. It was good until there was a period of time that there wasn't even an app available to download. Now everything sucks. I have deleted a d reinstalled the app several times. It doesn't work. The web browser is fine but the app is not worth the time or effort.
