Ratings and reviews

If you have full control of your android device you can see what an app is really doing. Most apps listen to 3-4 events that are required for them to operate. Speedcheck listens to 43! When you run the app the first time it registers to be notified of things like when you change settings, your location changes, etc... in the background. I disabled 41 of the 43 events then ran a speed test and it worked perfectly. So why is Speedcheck tracking everything we do on our phones??

Our internet provider says we are now upgraded to 400 MBPS. I can use this app to track the performance and it looks like we are only getting 300 (which is not terrible but we are paying for a service and not getting what was promised.) So far it seems to be an easy to use app. I'm getting a very accurate reading in relation to where I am to our modem. It looks like I can see where the wifi signal begins to drop out for some reason.

Does what it's supposed to. HOWEVER, there are so many things it asks you to agree to it's mind-blowing. Before even the first use, it asked me to pay. 🤣 Hell no dawg! To skip the ads, there is a button so tiny even a 4 year olds finger is too big! I ended up clicking on an ad I didn't want to click on. Very sketchy way for them to get paid from free users. Did what I needed it to, then immediately uninstalled.
