This online platform has been developed by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) to enhance and streamline the process of in-service training programs for teachers, administrators, allied professionals, and ministerial staff of the Special Education Department operating across Punjab, Pakistan. The In-Service Training College for Teachers of Disabled Children in Lahore is tasked with the capacity building of staff from various cadres within the special education sector. It offers Post Induction Training (PIT), Promotion Linked Training (PLT), refreshers, and courses covering a wide array of domains including professional development, technology integration, incorporation of emerging trends, administrative practices, and other relevant areas.
The purpose of these initiatives is to assure quality teaching and learning processes for children and youths with special needs, aiming to empower them as contributing members of Pakistani society. Special education staff require necessary attitudes, knowledge, and skills for this purpose, which the college is dedicated to providing.
