I don't care if you're "returning to the original intention" of Save accounts - you proudly made it a selling point on your website when I signed up then dropped it later. I'm more than happy to return the favour by taking my money elsewhere. App-wise, it's a bit slow to use if I need to do a lot of things as loading screens are a tad long, animations feel drawn out, and the success screen is a timed overlay that lingers for too long.

I spent a while on the phone to Ubank, who notified me seccurity code push notifications are not available with the 'new' app (supported by the previous app) Bad news for anyone overseas.. it is not a travel friendly bank option (as they advertise) if you're overseas you will now need to have roaming on everytime you internally transfer money etc. to receive a code to your Aus number. They suggested I deactivate my account and just use a different bank. Just FYI to any travellers!

Hi Hayley, we're sorry to hear this. There are some instances that require an SMS security code - including logging in on a new device or sending funds to a new Payee. This is not required when logging in on a trusted device or sending funds to an existing contact. We've now noted your feedback and passed it on to our team.

Trickle in a couple cool features while removing the functionality I value. The app itself is stable and super easy to use, but seems I have to reconfigure the setup of several payments every few months because Ubank are flippant. Used to be very hands off, now I need to open the app every couple days to make sure my money is where it needs to be (spend account no auto top up, soon can't external transfer from any account so all payments will be 2 transfers for no good reason).

Hi Stephanie, thank you for the review! We've also noted this feedback for you. If you have any further suggestions or ideas on features you'd like to see, please let us know.

What's new

If you’ve set up low balance alerts for any ubank accounts, you can now top up by tapping on your alert push notification. You’ll be dropped straight into a payment flow where you can select the top up amount and the ubank account you’d like to draw from.

Tap for a top up is also a pretty good tongue twister. Go on say it 10x really fast.
