Ratings and reviews

Originally, I would give the app 5-stars, and have recommended it to numerous friends and colleagues over the past couple of years. However, the May 2024 update changed the UI significantly, and *not* for the better. Moving through the UI is no longer intuitive and finding what I want to see is now more difficult, while the app attempts to push things the algorithm guesses are of interest to the front. Note to Ground News management: Poor UX will result in not renewing my subscription.

Best news app on the market. No nonsense Hollywood news clogging up the alerts. Very well laid out, customizable and has articles from multiple outlets for different perspectives. Keep up the great work. No need for another app. There is also a desktop web version that syncs with your account. Fantastic! 😊

I had Ground News for a couple weeks and bought their premium subscription. I really appreciated the app for what it did and thought it did a very good job at separating the facts from the politics. They have tons of options for being the stories and different feeds so that you can see stories you wouldn't normally get to see. I ultimately cancelled because the political landscape right now is overwhelming, but I'll come back when I'm ready. The cancellation process was easy and understanding
