Ratings and reviews

The content and vibe of the app is great, but it still fails miserably at quick loading times and has errors when trying to update the profile bio. The chat function doesn't load at all and keeps showing notifications when there are none. It doesn't take much to make this a five star app, please focus on making this app better because especially the notes function seems to me like a better alternative to Twitter than some other apps popping up.

It would be great if there was an option to mark an article as unread. Sometimes I scroll through an article to see how long it is before reading it, but then it gets marked as read. Sometimes the app can lag quite a bit and be unresponsive. Overall, I really appreciate what Substack stands for an how it enables open discussion that is being crushed elsewhere.

Sometimes the app cannot load the article right away, at that point the app just sort of hangs (no loading screen or anything). This is so confusing. Did the app crash? Is it still loading? Who knows Additionally, once a word is highlighted you either have to copy or restack it, there is no other way to get rid of the highlighted text. On other apps by hitting on anywhere else you can make the highlighting go but not on substack
