Pretty appalling UI, actually. Like under "Activity", if someone replies to a comment, there's no way to get to the thread or even view the comment they replied to. That's not even beta quality. Also, if I accidentally select some text in an article, I can't deselect by tapping elsewhere or scrolling. I have to choose from the pop-up menu to make it go away.

The new look is clunky and the app just straight up crashes when you attempt to click on a link in an article. Even when links did work, the Substack app kept the URL hidden so you were stuck firmly in the app's space instead of being able to easily copy and share URLs for interesting links. And the app handles images poorly too, it's a pain to enlarge them and pan around to look at something more closely.

I overall really enjoy the app, but my current biggest pet peeve is the way the audio reader will say "and quote" any time a quotation begins. For many articles this is fine, but if it's an interview or creative writing, it gets very distracting and disruptive to dialogue. It would be great if there was a setting to turn off whether it explicitly reads "and quote" or not.
