About this app

The Gear IconX (2018) Plugin allows you to use features such as device settings and status view when connected to a Gear IconX (2018) device.

This application does not work alone because this is a component of the Galaxy Wearable application.

The Galaxy Wearable application has to be installed first for the Gear IconX (2018) application to operate normally.

The following permissions are required for the app service. For optional permissions, the default functionality of the service is turned on, but not allowed.

[Required Permissions]
- Phone: Purpose of checking the version update information of the device
- Storage space: Purpose of storing music in external storage to use music transmission function
- Schedule: Purpose of checking schedule contents for using voice notification function
- Contact: Purpose for checking contact information when receiving a call to use voice notification function
- SMS: Purpose for confirming SMS contents for voice notification

If your system software version is lower than Android 6.0, please update the software to configure App permissions.
Previously allowed permissions can be reset on Apps menu in device settings after software update.

Another update: latest software update has fixed crashing on Android 9.0. (This was the expressed purpose of the update.) Update: app has stopped working. Crashes on start. I think it happened after I got the update to.9.0 Pie, but I use infrequently so don't know for sure. Voice Command doesn't work with Google Assistant on my Pixel 2 running 8.0 Oreo: tap and hold does initiate Assistant, but microphone shuts off and no command can be given. I've authorized all permissions, but see no setting for this app under microphone permissions. Everything else seems to work, but I really want Assistant to work, too.

I like the features it has . However no option to turn off touchpad feedback. I have both the beeps and the voice. At least let me change the sounds or silence completely. The iconx can't even disable the exercise read out menu. Shortcuts can't be customized. I need a quick way to turn on ambient sounds. Sony makes it easy by just hold up your hand to your ear. Samsung hides the option in a menu. Unintuitive. And also please stop the "touchpad lock/unlock sounds". We set it in app, we know.

The app isn't much of a problem. The app is great. However... The earbuds... I have NEVER in my life had anything so aggravating. The headset consistently disconnects. During calls, during music. Basically during use. Connects during call until someone answers the phone then disconnects. And no matter how many times i reconnect it, it disconnects again. I'm about to take a hammer to this whole thing. Hope this helps...
