About this app

Meet the new Vanguard app. We’ve updated and refined our features to make it easier than ever to invest from your mobile device. Along with our sleek new look, you can also log in to your accounts with Fingerprint ID. We’ll be rolling out new updates every few weeks, but if there’s something you want us to build, you can let us know in our Support tab.

Use the app to do the following (some features may not be available for employer-sponsored plans):

• Access an overview of your accounts to check your total assets and balances.

• Dive deeper to track your account performance, cost basis details, or day change information for each of your holdings.

• Make trades, deposit checks directly into your accounts, and review your transaction history.

• Find help, update your login preferences, and leave feedback via our Support tab.

Constantly shuts down. The app runs for about 2 minutes, then shuts down. The session however, continues to be active (but inaccessible and off-screen). If you wait long enough , you will get a notice stating the session has timed out. Forces you to re-log into the app. This happens so frequently that the app becomes unusable. I have not been able to explore any features in the app. I also have concerns about the session remaining active, without any access to it.

The Vanguard app used to be great years ago, they cut out the performance tracking tools that were extremely helpful and left us with an overly simplified dashboard that is largely useless. Every time I open the app it throws up a technical difficulties page or that the site is unavailable requiring me to close the app and reopen. It has been like this for over a year, completely unacceptable for a massive financial company. The trajectory of this app is not promising.

Latest update made this app even worse. Now takes even more steps per trade and defaults to list instead of table, and cuts off holdings titles. Crashes on 1st log in attempt and works on 2nd. Annoying that after completing a trade, it doesn't return you to your list of holdings, but sends you to the main page and you have to drill back down into your list. Fix the stupid feedback pop-ups - they show up at the top of the page so the "x" can't be selected since it's on the status bar.
