App crashes every time I open it. Update 9/3/24 Recent updates fixed the crashes. App functions as designed now. It's a little "clunky" fumbling through the file system, and needing to save files to your cloud drive in order to open them with the app is disappointing. Overall it backs up photos from the phone and gives access to saved files. Gets the job of getting away from 3rd party cloud storage done.

App is very basic. For some reason, gesture navigation does not work when within the app. Basic function is decent but missing some informative file features that exist on standard file/media productivity apps. Example, status bar of upload or download is not in the app. And the name of the file you are viewing while in the file/viewing that media. Chromecast support is included and works well.

Excellent Home Cloud System. Don't Listen to the bad reviews. Many people are not tech savvy enough to set this device up for it to be useful to it's fullest potential. Do not only use this app. You have to set up File Transfer Protocol (FTP) with the WD My Cloud Home physical external HDD device connected to your home modem router via Ethernet. Then you must use Western Digital's Support website, look up the device, and follow the directions on how to set up FTP. Works in Android and Windows.
