Ratings and reviews

SECOND EDIT: Recently (since the last update?) ads will auto-open the play store and occasionally auto-play audio. For an audio-driven app, this is unacceptable. I've used and loved podkicker for years, which makes the recent issues all the more frustrating. I see in the reviews that I'm not the only one experiencing this, so I'm going to give it a little more time to see if they fix these issues before jumping ship.

Prob1: Starts playing automatically when phone connects to truck (bluetooth). The toggle to disable this does not work. Even with app completely closed, it starts playing regardless. Prob2: ads hijack and open Google Play automatically Update: took away a star. Dev did contact me with things to try but none of them worked. Now it's worse - even with app OFF, sometimes when I start streaming movie on my phone podkicker will hijack the sound and play over top of the movie. 100% garbage app.

I have been a loyal Podkicker user for years. The experience has evolved and now ads block basic functionality of the application. So I look into buying the ad free version and you cannot do so! You can do subscriptions but you cannot purchase. If you ever have to help a loved one cancel recurring subscriptions when their spouse dies, it is a painful process that takes months with endless phone calls, mailing death certificates etc. I am looking for a no subscription replacement app now.
