This app has some feature that I've become accustomed to that I haven't found in other podcast apps, otherwise I would stop using it due to the bugs and aggressive monetization. I've always had issues with using Bluetooth to pause/unpause. The app doesn't keep track of the series I'm listening to when I want to play the next episode (it just tries to play the most recent). The worst offense is the ads for premium. It used to do a popup basically once a day... Now it's more like once an hour.

This was the best podcast player I could find several years ago. It had banner ads and some other quirks, but for the most part, it was the only thing I could find that came close to what I was looking for. Now, however, the number of ads and other things I have to close every single time I open the app is almost unbearable. And then they have another pop-up asking for a review 😒. I consider paying for premium, but it is way too high and subscription based. Still haven't found anything better.

Update: So far the Nov 2024 update has been working better despite an initial problem storing my login credentials. I'm back to enjoying the experience. 4 stars. Previous review: Playback has become choppy and annoying. No response to an in app support request. Taking back two stars. What's up Player FM? Previous review: Love the ease of use! It keeps track of my history and has plenty of options to organize the podcasts. Came over from Stitcher and this player is even better!
