About this app

Accruva is a reading app for ADHD, dyslexia, and neurodivergent minds. Five reading modes designed for different brains.

Reading isn't easy for every brain. For readers with ADHD, dyslexia, or attention that wanders, finding an app that actually helps is hard. Accruva is built for brains that read differently.

Five different ways to read the same page. Switch between modes whenever your attention wavers.

Focus mode (RSVP). Words appear on screen one at a time at the pace you set. A speed-reading technique that reduces eye-tracking effort, which many ADHD readers find helpful. Start at 50 WPM and build up at your own pace — up to 400 WPM free, up to 1,000 WPM with Accruva Pro.

Teleprompter. Lines of text scroll over the reading screen at your chosen speed. Useful when you want to keep moving but not lose your place. Think of a karaoke screen.

Chunking. Breaks text into 2 to 4 word groups. Easier on your working memory than longer unbroken sentences. Decades of cognitive science behind it.

Bold Flow. First letters of each word bolded as visual anchors. Some readers, particularly those with dyslexia, find words faster this way. Evidence on the technique is mixed across populations, so we offer it as one option amongst five, rather than the answer.

Scroll. Just scrolling at your own pace. Sometimes that's all your brain needs.

Our AI study tools help you understand what you've just read. Quizzes, flashcards, and summaries can all be generated from any document you import. The point isn't to finish reading faster. It's to help you remember more of it.

Spaced repetition uses the SM-2 algorithm to help you remember what you usually forget. Cards you struggle with come back sooner. Mastered ones rest for longer. Adaptive review built for ADHD focus, not rigid daily drilling.

Built-in weekly planner where you can add study blocks, exams, and deadlines to a calendar. Accruva reminds you, even when life is moving faster than your attention. Custom reminders for each event. One-tap export to your device's calendar.

Accessibility features, permanently free. Dyslexia-friendly font (Atkinson Hyperlegible), ADHD/Zen Mode for distraction-free reading, High Contrast (WCAG AAA), Flat UI Mode, Reduce Motion, and full dark mode. Accessibility stays free for everyone — free users and Pro subscribers alike.

What you get free: all five reading modes. Document import for PDFs, EPUBs, DOCX, TXT, Markdown, HTML, and ODT files, plus OCR scanning with your camera. Unlimited library and unlimited flashcards. Reading streaks, progress tracking, the weekly planner, and achievements. Pomodoro timer and tap-on-word dictionary. Free daily AI generations for quizzes, flashcards, and summaries. Accruva Pro: up to 1,000 words per minute, 150 AI generations per day across all features (10x the free tier, no per-feature limits), ad-free reading, cloud sync across devices, and full access to Smart Review (knowledge health, weak spots, review forecast, retention tracking).

Study Cram week pass is also available. Seven days of full Pro access. Built for exam season.

Accruva is developed by WulverDev Ltd in Scotland. We made this app for ADHD and dyslexic readers who've been told they "just need to focus more" but they know that's not how their brain works.

Accruva is a reading tool, not a medical product. We don't diagnose ADHD or dyslexia. That's the work of qualified clinicians. If diagnosis or treatment is what you're after, please speak to a healthcare professional.

Make reading count.
